    La osteomilietis mandibular es la infección de la mandíbula. Esta infección puede llegar a un hueso al viajar a través del torrente sanguíneo o al extenderse desde el tejido cercano. También pueden comenzar en el propio hueso si una lesión expone el hueso a gérmenes1.

    Los fumadores o personas con enfermedades crónicas, tienen un riesgo mayor de padecer esta infección.

    Actualmente es una enfermedad que puede tratarse con éxito.

    Mandibular osteomyelitis is an infection of the jaw. This infection can reach a bone by spreading from nearby tissue. They can also start in the bone itself if an injury exposes the bone to germs.

    Smokers or people with chronic diseases are at greater risk of this infection.

    It is currently a disease that can be sucessfully treated.
