Resumen de Périphérie gauche, périphérie droite: deux évolutions différentes en français

The aim of this study is to compare the evolution of two types of peripheral constituents, detached phrases at the end of an utterance and detached appositions in initial position. These changes are initially characterised by a move towards greater syntactic autonomy. In the case of appositions, we then observe a return to a certain degree of integration, while the status of right detached phrases becomes that of independent sentences. We also try to clarify the chronology of these changes.

Le but de cette étude est de comparer les évolutions de deux types de constituants périphériques, les ajouts en fin d’énoncé et les constructions détachées en position initiale. Ces évolutions se caractérisent d’abord par un mouvement vers une plus grande autonomie syntaxique. Dans le cas des constructions détachées, on constate ensuite un retour à un certain degré d’intégration, alors que le statut des ajouts devient celui d’une phrase indépendante. On essaye par ailleurs de préciser la chronologie de ces changements.
