    Berlanga y su obra son elementos vertebrales del cine español, y han trascendido los límites del ámbito cinematográfico para influir y actuar en otros dominios de la cultura. Este ensayo propone una aproximación panorámica a su biografía y filmografía desde la literatura, considerada en un sentido amplio. Nuestro propósito es esclarecer la pluralidad de vínculos que unen la biografía y la filmografía del cineasta español con la literatura, la lectura y la escritura.

    Berlanga and his life’s work are the backbone of Spanish cinema. They have gone beyond the boundaries of the cinematographic field to influence and act in other domains of culture. This essay proposes a panoramic view to his biography and filmography from literature, considered in a broad sense. Our purpose is to clarify the plurality of links that unite the biography and filmography of the Spanish filmmaker with literature, reading and writing.
