    Para la Comunidad Económica Europea, la adhesión de España en 1986 supuso una serie de desafíos en los planos político, institucional y económico, y dio lugar a posiciones diversas por parte de los Estados miembros en función del modo en que sus intereses se vieron afectados. El artículo aborda el seguimiento que diversas organizaciones europeas representativas de intereses sociales varios, como los sindicales, los empresariales y los agrícolas, hicieron del proceso y su interactuación con las instituciones de la CEE para defender sus intereses en el contexto de la ampliación.

    For the European Economic Community, the adhesion of Spain in 1986 meant a series of challenges both at the political, economic and institutional fields. Member States elaborated their specific stances according to the way their respective interests could be affected.
