  Sobre el telón de fondo de la transición política que tuvo lugar en España a raíz de la muerte de Franco en 1975 el autor reflexiona sobre la interpretación que Francisco Vázquez hace en su ensayo sociológico sobre la transición filosófica española (1963-1991). Se matizan algunas hipótesis, como la relevancia de los falangistas liberales y orteguianos en la consolidación del “núcleo alternativo” y se discuten determinados enfoques, como no haber prestado más atención a Enrique Tierno Galván, “el gran ausente” del libro. También se subraya el hecho de que la transición se hace al margen del pensamiento español del primer tercio de siglo, produciendo el efecto de una especie de divorcio entre filosofía e historia, cosa que no habría ocurrido en el campo del pensamiento político, que quedó, sin embargo, desconectado del campo filosófico al consolidarse el triunfo de la “red alternativa”.

  This essay reflects on Francisco Vazquez's book about the philosophical Spanish transition (1963-1991) against the background of the Spanish political transition that took place in Spain after Franco's death (1975). The text qualifies some hypotheses as the relevance of the Liberal Phalangists in the consolidation of the "alternative core". It also challenges certain approaches. For example, the scarce attention paid to Enrique Tierno Galván, "the great absent" from the book. On the other hand, the essay underlines the fact that the political transition was made without taking into account the Spanish thought from the first third of the XX century. This fact produced a kind of divorce between philosophy and history, something that did not occurred in the field of political thought. However, with the triumph of the philosophical "alternative network", the political thought was disconnected from the philosophical field.
