    Leo Brouwer, virtuoso guitarrista y compositor, ha ido ganándose el reconocimiento y cariño de todas las personas que han tenido contacto con él. Cubano de nacimiento, ha recorrido diversos lugares del mundo, convirtiéndose en un ejemplo de superación para muchos, tanto en lo profesional como en lo personal. En el presente artículo se quiere dar a conocer todo el buen hacer del maestro, para que sirva de inspiración y motivación en un camino tan complejo y a su vez precioso como es la carrera musical. Además de las líneas escritas, podemos encontrar el enlace a entrevistas realizadas por medios especializados. Para finalizar, se abre al lector a una de las piezas más interpretadas y estudiadas del compositor, El Decamerón Negro, y a posibles futuras investigaciones que sigan analizando la figura de uno de los mayores representantes de la música contemporánea.

    Leo Brouwer, virtuoso classical guitar player and composer, has slowly been gaining the recognition and affection of people around him. Cuban by birth, he has traveled the many corners of the world, becoming an example of continuous overcoming, both professionally and personally. This article shows his excellent work as a teacher and his inspiring and encouraging ways on the marvelous and complex path that is following music studies. In addition to the text, the study offers several links to interviews carried out by specialized media. Finally, the article introduces one of his most frequently performed compositions to the reader, The Black Decameron, and invites future researchers to further explore one of the greatest figures of contemporary music.
