The Cerro Cordillera of Valparaíso Community behaved during the first three decades of the 20th century as a cohesive and organized community, responding for it to elements of territoriality, belonging and interrelationality. Configuring their own constituent elements, which other communities or neighborhoods of the city emulated. A community, for the most part, self-managed, with overtones of civic republicanism, that distances Cerro Cordillera from the usual stigmatizations as a peripheral neighborhood ofthe city, from being a space of extreme marginalization and crime.
