    Este artículo presenta al lector las vicisitudes por las que pasaron los manuscritos del jurista Francisco Xavier Borrull y Vilanova. El trabajo muestra quién era el autor de estos manuscritos, la relevancia de su figura en su tiempo y el olvido relativo en que cayó durante casi dos siglos. Estos valiosos manuscritos estaban en manos privadas y estuvieron a punto de dispersarse o venderse por parte de un librero anticuario de Valencia. Se destaca también la actualidad del asunto del derecho foral valenciano. Hoy en día, afortunadamente y tras la operación de salvamento que llevamos a cabo, se encuentran depositados en el archivo del Congreso de los diputados en Madrid.

    This article aims to show the vicissitudes that the Francisco Xavier Borrull’ manuscripts went through. The work aims to show who was the author of these manuscripts, the relevance of his figure in his time and the relative oblivion into which he fell for almost two centuries. These valuable manuscripts were in private hands and were about to be dispersed or sold by an antiquarian bookseller in Valencia. The topicality of the matter of Valencian foral law is also highlighted. Today, fortunately and after the rescue operation we carried out, they are deposited in the archives of the Congress of Deputies in Madrid.
