    RESUMEN: Con este artículo se quiere mostrar cómo el encuentro de dos personalidades, Peter Maurin (1877-1949) y Dorothy Day (1897-1980), con trayectorias tan diferentes, unidas por el deseo de ayudar a los demás, se potencian y dan frutos que perduran hasta hoy. PALABRAS CLAVE: amistad, pobreza, pobres, compromiso, testimonio, personalismo comunitario, fraternidad.
