    Durante el siglo anterior y principios del presente, en España e Italia ocurrieron crisis institucionales de gran entidad, tanto por sus efectos como por los actores involucrados. La “Guerra de Cortes” española y el “Choque de trenes” italiano, como fueron conocidas por la literatura especializada, constituyen eventos relevantes de confrontación entre altas cortes que se examinan para extraer, de ellos, lecciones para el ejercicio de la función judicial en los Estados Constitucionales de Derecho.

    During the previous century and the beginning of the currentone, major institutional crises occurred in Spain and Italybecause of their effects and the actors involved. The Spanish “War of Courts” and the Italian “Train Crash”, as they were known by the specialized literature, constitute relevant events of confrontation among high courts that areanalyzed to extract,from them, lessons for the exercise ofthe judicial function in Constitutional Law States.
