A Piedmont inhabitant always finds a great familiarity with the Catalan hills and its vineyards; furthermore, the rough outspokenness of the population increases that kind of feeling. The work is based on the comparison between Josep Pla’s El carrer estret and Cesare Pavese’s La luna e i falò, two essential twentieth-century authors in Catalan and Italian literature. Through the lines of these novels, real life is confused through memory and dreams, opening the doors to a constantly changing world.
