    En este trabajo se analiza la desobediencia, materializada a través de la resistencia armada, del linaje nobiliario de los Saavedra a los intentos de los Reyes Católicos por pacificar el territorio sevillano y consolidar su autoridad monárquica. El mariscal Fernán Arias de Saavedra, desde sus plazas fortificadas de Tarifa, Zahara y Utrera, demostró su oposición a la línea política abanderada por los nuevos reyes y, sintiendo amenazados los intereses de su linaje, se negó a restituir varias fortalezas, lo que acabó provocando el asedio de Utrera y el posterior decaimiento de esta rama familiar del linaje. En el presente estudio se aportan nuevos datos y una visión más amplia de un conflicto que, por su singularidad, ya había llamado la atención de los especialistas.

    This paper analyzes the disobedience, materialized through armed resistance, of the Saavedra noble lineage to the attempts of the Catholic Monarchs to pacify the Sevillian territory and consolidate their monarchical authority. The marshal Fernán Arias de Saavedra, from his fortified places of Tarifa, Zahara and Utrera, showed his opposition to the political line advocated by the new kings and feeling threatened the interests of his lineage, he refused to return several fortress, which eventually led the siege of Utrera and the subsequent decay of this family branch of the lineage. This study provides new data and a broader view of a conflict that, due to its singularity, had already attracted the attention of specialists
