La descortesía verbal hacia el colectivo venezolano en noticias de sucesos del diario Correo

    Este artículo analiza el uso de las voces venezolano(s) y extranjero(s) en una muestra de noticias de sucesos tomadas del sitio web del diario peruano Correo. El objetivo de la presente investigación es demostrar que estos vocablos se emplean como recursos de descortesía verbal. Para ello, se determinó el contexto de su uso a nivel macrotextual (tópico, y tipos de sujetos del discurso) y microtextual (tipos de enunciados). De acuerdo con el análisis, se identifica que estas voces en algunos contextos adoptan una connotación negativa, puesto que a través de ellas se asocia al colectivo venezolano residente en Perú con la delincuencia, lo cual afecta su imagen de grupo. Asimismo, aunque estas voces no se asocian con otro tipo de conductas negativas en otros contextos, sí afectan el deseo de afiliación del grupo.

    This article analyzes the use of the words venezolano and extranjero in a sample of news items taken from the website of the Peruvian newspaper Correo. The objective of the research is to demonstrate that these words are used as resources of verbal discourtesy. For this purpose, the context of their use was determined at the macrotextual level (topic, and types of discourse subjects) and microtextual level (types of utterances). According to the analysis, we identified that these voices in some contexts adopt a negative connotation, since through them the Venezuelan collective residing in Peru is associated with delinquency, which affects their group image. Likewise, although these voices are not associated with other types of negative values in other contexts, they do affect their desire for group affiliation.
