At that time, throughout the Crown of Aragon, annual competitions called crossbow games were organised, which were highly regulated and well rewarded. With the aim of understanding late medieval daily life, this work studies the main references preserved in the Historical and Municipal Archive of Elx about crossbows and crossbowmen in 15th century Elx, as well as the rules and characteristics of this popular game
