  La insuficiencia cardiaca crónica es un síndrome clínico que impide el funcionamiento adecuado del corazón, motor que impulsa la sangre a lo largo del sistema circulatorio para satisfacer las necesidades metabólicas del organismo. Esta patología cardiaca es como resultado del descontrol de algunas enfermedades comunes como: el infarto, la hipertensión arterial y cardiopatías valvulares etc. Los pacientes con insuficiencia cardíaca muchas veces desarrollan muchas anomalías en la respiración. Éstos pacientes pueden tener patrones de respiración periódica o no periódica. Aquí queremos proponer estudiar el patrón respiratorio de estos pacientes y también sus marcadores clínicos para determinar los parámetros más importantes y así poder descubrir el riesgo de estos. Viendo los resultados obtenidos observamos parámetros temporales (duración del ciclo respiratorio y tiempo de inspiración) y parámetros clínicos que ayudan a diferenciar pacientes con respiración periódica y en espera respiración no periódica1.

  Chronic heart failure is a clinical syndrome that prevents the proper functioning of the heart, the engine that drives blood through the circulatory system to meet the body’s metabolic needs. This cardiac pathology is the result of the lack of control of some common diseases such as: heart attack, arterial hypertension and valvular heart disease, etc. Patients with heart failure often develop many breathing abnormalities. These patients may have periodic or non-periodic breathing patterns. Here we want to propose to study the respiratory pattern of these patients and also their clinical markers to determine the most important parameters and thus be able to discover their risk. Looking at the results obtained, we observe temporary parameters (duration of the respiratory cycle and inspiration time) and clinical parameters that help to differentiate patients with periodic breathing and non-periodic breathing waiting.
