The sequence of letters καλαμαντιτηc in a short text written on a small sheet of papyrus, PUG I 7 (V/VIp), has created difficulties of interpretation. The solution of this puzzle could be that the letters should not be divided into words, but constitute a single word, incorrectly written, i.e. καλαμινθίτηc, a term used by Dioscorides in De mat. med. (5.52) to mean a kind of medicinal wine, flavoured with Calamintha nepeta
