    El presente trabajo se elabora a partir de la reflexión personal y el análisis de la literatura jurídica y jurisprudencial lituana, desde una posición crítica sobre la maternidad o gestación subrogada con una extensión de tal análisis al derecho comparado. Los autores del trabajo pertenecen a un grupo internacional de investigación de países europeos, latinoamericanos o asiáticos (GIDEPA) y su objetivo es analizar la regulación jurídica de la gestación subrogada, mediante la aplicación de la investigación y el análisis comparativo de la literatura científica actualizada, la práctica judicial y fuentes online. Partiendo desde los orígenes y conceptos de la gestación subrogada también se observa y expone la regulación legal (y no regulación) en diferentes e importantes países, así como los diferentes efectos legales en cada uno. El trabajo concluye ofreciendo la posición de los autores, ya deslizada a lo largo del trabajo, con especial incidencia en las conclusiones finales.

    This work is elaborated on a personal reflection and the analysis of legal literature and jurisprudence, from a critical position on the issue the surrogacy institution in Lithuania with an extension of the view form a comparative perspective. The authors of this work belong to a wide international research group from different European, Latin American or Asian countries (GIDEPA). The objective of the work is to analyze the legal regulation of the surrogacy, through the research and comparative analysis of the updated scientific literature, judicial practice and online sources by the professors involved. Starting from the origins and concepts of surrogacy, the legal regulation (and not regulation) in different and important countries as well as the different legal effects in each one is observed and exposed. The work concludes by offering the position of the authors, already slipped throughout the work, but with special incidence in the final conclusions.
