    Los vítores han sido entendidos como hitos distintivos propios de la cultura universitaria hispana. Sin embargo, en Ciudad Rodrigo se encuentran estos elementos pictóricos sin relación directa con el mundo académico, pero sí influenciados por él. Este trabajo analiza los vítores que se localizan en esa ciudad con el fin de contextualizarlos y aportar una explicación a su significado. De esta forma se ha elaborado un catálogo de las pinturas identificadas y se ofrecen varias explicaciones acerca de su significado y difusión más allá de Salamanca.

    The «vitores» are a distinctive element of Hispanic university culture. However, in Ciudad Rodrigo these pictorial elements are found without any relation to the academic world. The present work tries to analyze the «vitores» found in Ciudad Rodrigo in order to contextualize and analyze them and ensure their proper preservation. In this way, it has been established that the vitores of this city are not academic, but are propaganda elements of the power obtained through the canonries of the cathedral. A series of quantitative analyzes have been elaborated in order to be able to rigorously analyze these vestiges of triumphal paintings.
