    El discurso del abate Henri Grégoire a favor de los judíos pronunciado en 1789 en la Asamblea Nacional resume las ideas desarrolladas por él con más amplitud en su Essai sur la régénération physique, morale et politique des Juifs, obra premiada por la Société Royale des Arts et Sciences de Metz y publicada en París en 1789. Dos años después, la Asamblea votó el decreto que concedía plena ciudadanía francesa a los judíos que prestaran el jura-mento cívico.     The speech in favour of the Jews given by abbé Henri Grégoire in 1789 before the National Assembly is a summary of the ideas more widely developed by him in his Essai sur la régénération physique, morale et politique des Juifs, a work awarded by the Royal Society for the Arts and Sciences of Metz and published in Paris in 1789. Two years later, the Assembly voted the decree that granted full citizenship to the French Jews who take the civic oath.
