Resumen de Prácticas empresariales en la actividad marmolera en el Huila

  La evolución de actividades económicas, impulsadas por agentes empresariales, se constituye en objeto de estudio para comprender en toda su expresión, la realidad actual de las regiones. Es en esta lógica que el presente estudio procura identificar y comprender las características del origen de la actividad marmolera en el departamento del Huila y las prácticas sus agentes empresariales.  En consecuencia, para efectos de una mejor comprensión se clasificó la actividad en dos niveles de gestión; la actividad extractiva y la actividad transformadora, salvo algunos casos donde se presentan las dos formas bajo el mando de un mismo agente.  Igualmente, se puede deducir que la experiencia acumulada por parte de los agentes, desempeña un papel determinante para la concreción de iniciativas empresariales en la actividad.

  De otra parte, se aprecia que durante las décadas de 1950 y 1960, el Estado estimuló la actividad mediante la financiación de estudios que permitiesen determinar las potencialidades del recurso mineral. Sin embargo, su rol a partir de 1990 se limitó a labores de control a la minería de hecho o tradicional, con pocos esfuerzos para su desarrollo. En este sentido, se destacan pequeños apoyos, sobretodo, por entidad como el Sena y las Alcaldías.

  The evolution of economic activities, driven by entrepreneurial agents, is an object of study to understand in all its expression, the current reality of the regions. It is in this logic that this study seeks to identify and understand the characteristics of the origin of the marble activity in the department of Huila and the practices of its entrepreneurial agents.

  Consequently, for the purpose of a better understanding, the activity was classified into two levels of management; the extractive activity and the transforming activity, except in some cases where both forms are present under the control of the same agent.

  Likewise, it can be deduced that the experience accumulated by the agents plays a determining role in the realization of entrepreneurial initiatives in the activity.

  On the other hand, it can be seen that during the 1950s and 1960s, the State stimulated the activity by financing studies to determine the potential of the mineral resource. However, after 1990, its role was limited to controlling de facto or traditional mining, with little effort to develop it. In this sense, there was little support, especially from entities such as SENA and the municipalities.
