    Este artículo amplía el conocimiento sobre la huelga general de agosto de 1917 en una comarca de asentada vinculación con el movimiento obrero organizado, la zona minera de Vizcaya (y su inmediata santanderina). El análisis del proceso y de los agentes que intervinieron se acomete en contexto provincial, español e internacional.

    This article expands the knowledge about the general strike of August 1917 in a region with a strong link to the organized workers’ movement, the mining zone of Biscay (and its immediate Santander area). The analysis of the process and the agents involved is undertaken in a provincial, national and international context.
