  • Resumen
    • This book chapter provides the motivation for the SAREF ontology as well as its relationship with existing IoT ontologies, focussing on the smart home and smart application domains. Provides the context of its origin and evolution since its first version published by ETSI in November 2015 and details how it is developed in practice. The chapter not only provides an overview of the SAREF ontology but also shows how SAREF and its extensions can be applied to the smart home environment and discusses the lessons learnt during its design and development.
