Resumen de La divulgación científica en la Universidad Pública de Navarra. La Unidad de Cultura Científica

La divulgación científica es una demanda social cada vez más pujante. Las políticas de investigación nacionales y europeas establecen la necesidad de que la investigación responda a los retos globales y, en este sentido, también se fija como objetivo el aumento de la cultura científica de los ciudadanos. Este artículo describe someramente en qué consiste la actividad de divulgación científica de la UPNA y analiza, más en detalle, las acciones y programas de divulgación científica que se desarrollan a través de su Unidad de Cultura Científica. Por último, se plantean algunos retos y posibles líneas de desarrollo futuras.

Zientziaren dibulgazioaren eskaria gero eta handiagoa da gure gizartean. Estatuko eta Europako ikerketa politikek ezartzen dutenez, ikerketak erronka globalei erantzun behar die eta, ildo horretan, herritarrengan kultura zientifikoa handitzea ere helburutzat hartzen dute. Artikulu honek gaingiroki azaltzen du zertan datzan NUPen dibulgazio zientifikoaren jarduera, eta xehekiago aztertzen ditu bertako Kultura Zientifikoko unitatearen bidez egiten diren dibulgazio zientifikoko ekintzak eta programak. Azkenik, zenbait erronka eta etorkizunerako aukerako garapen lerro batzuk planteatzen ditu.

The social demand for science popularisation is thriving. National and European research policies establish the need for research to respond to global challenges and, in this regard, one objective which has been set is to increase the scientific culture of the citizenry. This article briefly describes what the Public University of Navarre’s scientific popularisation activity consists of and analyses, in greater detail, the scientific popularisation actions and programmes that it develops through its Scientific Culture Unit. Finally, some challenges and possible future lines of development are set out.
