  Las prácticas ambientales, industriales y médicas han impulsado el desarrollo de nuevas estrategias sostenibles para la protección y mejora de las condiciones de estos sectores. Actualmente en el campo ambiental se han utilizado microorganismos para estimular el crecimiento vegetal y reducir los efectos negativos que presentan los productos químicos. También, en el campo industrial, se han utilizado microorganismos para la optimización de procesos en la restauración y producción de materiales y alimentos que mejoran la salud respectivamente. Por otra parte, en el campo médico, se ha evidenciado que muchos de estos agentes biológicos son benéficos y cuentan con propiedades importantes que mejoran el funcionamiento del cuerpo. Siendo así, las bacterias una fuente potencial de una amplia variedad de productos bioactivos como es el caso de Lysinibacillus sphaericus (Ls), ha tomado gran importancia en los últimos años debido a las propiedades que ha demostrado tener. Por esto, el propósito de esta revisión es hacer un recuento sobre Ls y sus diversas aplicaciones como bacteria prometedora en bioprospección en los campos mencionados.

  Environmental, industrial and medical practices have encouraged the development of new sustainable strategies for the protection and improvement of conditions in these sectors. Currently, in the environmental field, microorganisms have been used to stimulate plant growth and reduce the negative effects of chemicals. Also, in the industrial field, microorganismshave been used for process optimization in the restoration and production of health-enhancing materials and foods, respectively. In the medical field, it has been shown that many of these biological agents are beneficial and have important properties that improve the functioning of the body. Thus, bacteria are a potential source of a wide variety of bioactive products, that is the case of Lysinibacillus sphaericus (Ls), which has taken on great importance in recent years because of the properties it has shown to have. Therefore, the purpose of this review is to recount Ls and its various applications as promisingbacteria in bioprospecting in the fields mentioned.
