  Construction is one of the world's sectors with the highest number of occupational accidents and has left an annual legacy of millions of people killed or with permanent injuries. The objective of this research is to scrutinize the topic of Workplace Accident Risk Management in the Construction Industry through a literature review of international publications in order to highlight the main characteristics of this area of knowledge. As an intervention tool, the Knowledge Development Process-Constructivist (ProKnow-C) tool was used. The portfolio was composed of 25 papers, the most relevant: Vinodkumar & Bhasi (2010). The prominent author is Hinze. The recurring journal is Safety Science. The most relevant keywords are: construction safety, safety management, process safety and construction. This study contributes with knowledge to researchers when starting a research on the subject, because they are studies with potential contribution to the state of the art.

  A construção civil é um dos setores mundiais com maior número de acidentes de trabalho e tem deixado um legado anual de milhões de pessoas mortas ou com lesões permanentes. O objetivo da pesquisa é perscrutar o tema Gestão de Riscos de Acidentes de Trabalho na Indústria da Construção Civil, por meio de uma revisão de literatura das publicações internacionais a fim de evidenciar os destaques das principais características dessa área de conhecimento.
