Resumen de O trabalho das luzes: os letreiros luminosos na obra de Regina Parra

  A partir da análise das citações literárias e dos letreiros luminosos em neon vermelho presentes nas obras É preciso continuar, de 2018, e Os desejos adormeceram atrás das janelas, de 2011, da paulista Regina Parra, o presente ensaio busca investigar o vínculo entre propaganda, exclusão e exílio conforme retratados no trabalho da artista. Resumidamente, o que se espera mostrar na obra de Parra é o contraste entre, de um lado, as promessas redentoras de uma publicidade que muito brilha, e, de outro, o exílio, a pobreza e a exclusão não transcendente dos indivíduos condenados a viver sob o seu funcionamento.

  Based on the analysis of literary quotes and luminous signs in red neon present in the works É preciso continuar, 2018, and Os desejos adormeceram atrás das janelas, 2011, by the artist Regina Parra, this essay seeks to investigate the link between advertisement, exclusion, and exile as portrayed in the artist's work. In a few words, the intention is to show, in Parra's work, the contrast between, on the one hand, the redemptive and shining promises of advertising, and, on the other, the exile, poverty, and the non-transcendent exclusion of individuals condemned to live under its operation.
