The natural fauna of suburbs is gradually included into the growing cities and these areas become widely used by urban residents and biogenic landscapes – steppes, forests etc. – have begun to transform into technogenic areas. This has caused significant migration of fauna from suburbs to settlements. Under the influence of numerous anthropogenic factors, such as electromagnetic, thermal, sound, radioactive and light pollution, as well as transforming geochemical characteristics of urban media, the fauna experiences significant technogenic burden. The ecological peculiarities of an impact of the urban environment on the fauna are considered.
