  Como se sabe la larga historia del género biográfico inició atendiendo figuras célebres. Para que finalmente aparezcan las vidas de abajo, la gente de abajo tuvo que llegar a cobrar suficiente importancia en la Historia que se hace, y entonces la historia que se escribe se detuvo en ellas. Habilitada esta mirada, la acción militante devino un observatorio privilegiado. Esto es lo que atiende este texto e invita a comprender el militante obrero como el exponente visible de un gran movimiento invisible, en tanto es quien “cristaliza la masa”. Además, propone el diccionario de vidas como una herramienta para leer de forma no inercial un Movimiento, el obrero, con dinámicas múltiples: no solo aquellas que se ubican arriba, sino también las que están en todos los costados e incluso detrás. Un Diccionario parece cosa inofensiva. Sin embargo, más allá de que no narre necesariamente las cosas, o que hable de gente fuera de lo común, al avanzar por caminos poco alisados, podría generar en las intrigas poco acabadas de la historia de los de Arriba, un saludable desorden.

  The biographical genre began with famous figures. For the lives from below appear, the people from below had to become sufficiently important in the History that is made, and then the history that is written stopped at them. With this gaze enabled, militant action became a privileged observatory. This text invites us to understand the militant worker as the visible exponent of a great invisible movement since he is the one who "crystallizes the mass". In addition, it proposes the dictionary of lives as a tool to read in a non-inertial way a Movement, the workers' movement, with multiple dynamics: not only those who are located above but also those who are on all sides and even behind. A dictionary seems a harmless thing. Although it does not necessarily narrate things, or that it speaks of people out of the ordinary, by advancing along little-traveled roads, it could generate, in the unfinished intrigues of the history of those at the top, a health disorder.
