Resumen de Regeneración ósea guiada en el tratamiento del quiste radicular: Reporte de caso

  Los quistes radiculares son quistes odontogénicos inflamatorios, la mayoría de estas lesiones involucran el ápice del diente lesionado y aparecen como imágenes radiolúcidas bien definidas, el tratamiento con mayor frecuencia es quirúrgico y de tipo conservador, realizando enucleación del tejido patológico y curetaje del lecho quirúrgico, comúnmente el defecto óseo es considerable, siendo importante la regeneración ósea guiada. Se describe el caso de paciente con quiste radicular en la mandíbula, el cual fue tratado quirúrgicamente y los defectos óseos posterior a la quistectomía, fue manejado con regeneración ósea guiada, injerto óseo y plasma rico en fibrina, con resultados satisfactorios en la cicatrización ósea.

  Radicular cysts are inflammatory odontogenic cysts, most of these lesions involve the apex of the injured tooth and appear as well-defined radiolucent images, the most frequent treatment is surgical and conservative, performing enucleation of the pathological tissue and curettage of the surgical bed, commonly the bone defect is considerable, guided bone regeneration being important. The case of a patient with a radicular cyst in the jaw is described, which was treated surgically and the bone defects after cystectomy were managed with guided bone regeneration, bone graft and fibrin-rich plasma, with satisfactory results in bone healing.
