  • Bagoo's book-length visual poem, The City of Dreadful Night (2018), combines concrete poetry, typographic art ("Sycorax video style," in Kamau Brathwaite's words [4]), newspaper collages, digital art, photography, and more. Building on Martin Heidegger's influential essay "The Origin of the Work of Art," he writes that through their density these paintings function like poetry. "The Origin of the Work of Art (1935–36)."
