    En las páginas que siguen analizaremos cómo fue la relación entre el poder ejecutivo y legislativo en el ámbito específico de la instrucción pública durante el período de vigencia de la Constitución de 1837. Su interés radica en que sin un estudio del juego de la interrelación entre los poderes del Estado no es posible entender el proceso político conducente a la construcción del sistema educativo liberal.

    In the following pages we will analyse how the relationship between the executive and legislative branches was in the specific field of public education during the period of validity of the Constitution of 1837. Its interest consists in the fact that without a study of the relationship between the branches of the State, it is not possible to understand the political process leading to the construction of the liberal education system.
