    El capital social en la cooperativa combina el contenido de los valores y los principios cooperativos, con la regulación de esta institución en el Derecho de sociedades mercantiles de capital. La legislación cooperativa recibe de las sociedades de capital los mecanismos técnicos propios de las funciones de garantía y de explotación de la actividad económica desempeñadas por el capital social. Por el contrario, la función organizativa cede ante las exigencias de los valores y los principios cooperativos. Analizamos las relaciones entre la ordenación del capital social cooperativo y este contenido axiológico, organizativo y operativo. Tomamos como legislaciones de contraste la Ley de sociedades cooperativas andaluzas, la Ley valenciana de cooperativas y la Ley estatal de cooperativas. Atendiendo al modelo legislativo acogido por estas normativas advertimos sensibles diferencias en el régimen del capital social en la sociedad cooperativa.

    The social capital in the cooperative combines the content of the cooperative values and principles, with the regulation of this institution in the law of commercial capital companies. The cooperative legislation receives from the capital companies the technical mechanisms of the functions of guarantee and exploitation of the economic activity caried out by the social capital. On the contrary, the organizational function yields to the demands of cooperative values and principles. We analyze the relationships between the management of cooperative social capital and this axiological, organizational, and operational content. We take as contrasting legislation the Andalusian Cooperative Societies Law, the Valencian Cooperative Law, and the State Cooperative Law. Considering the legislative model embraced by these regulations, we notice significant differences in the social capital regime in the cooperative society.
