Las Tolderías are organized in two sectors: San Lorenzo and Santa Rosa. On this occasion, work was carried out with the field records of San Lorenzo, where it was observed that the grandparents play a fundamental role in the teaching and transmission of linguistic-cultural practices for children and young people. These actions take place from the first years of life of the children and materialize in visits or encounters with the grandparents and in the support in the domestic tasks. They are interpreted as part of community formative experiences (Achilli, 1996) and as a family language policy (Sichra, 2005). The purpose of this article is to describe the first linguistic experiences developed by the elderly to teach the language and culture Moqoit to the young generations. These formative experiences contribute to the maintenance of certain community practices and to outline the native theory on the process of linguistic socialization in Moqoit. Our field data is based on semi-structured interviews and field notes recorded between the years 2021-2023.
