Lo clásico aún en tiempos tecnológicos

    Los años de 2020 a 2022 serán recordados siempre como la etapa de la gran sacudida histórica a nivel mundial, donde la COVID-19 arrasó con la salud y la vida de muchos, y donde los paradigmas educativos fueron atravesados por la tecnología que convivió entre los Baby Boomers, la generación X, los Millenials o generación Y, los Centennials o generación Z, y la muy joven generación Alpha. Y mucho más allá de una cuestión “retro”, ¿sería posible abrevar en lo clásico aún en tiempos tecnológicos, hermanarse y conectar? En este artículo expondré mi experiencia respecto a cómo se solucionó ese dilema −durante las clases de inglés vía Zoom en la UAM-A−, entre lo analógico y lo digital, demostrando que la evolución o involución en una época es resultado más de los pequeños cambios, de ver al otro, de espejearnos con él y saber que lo clásico, con toda su sabiduría, aún nos acompaña.

    Years 2020 up to 2022 will always be remembered as the great shocking period in History. COVID-19 destroyed both health and the life of many. School paradigms were broken through by technology. And that lived among Baby Boomers, X-Generation, Millenials or Y-Generation, Centennials or Z-Generation, as well as the youngest Alpha Generation. And beyond a “retro” feeling, would it be possible to be fed by the Classics, even in times of technology? Would it be possible to create a feeling of brotherhood in different generations and “to connect”? This article is about how that dilemma of being between the analogical and digital worlds was solved during our English classes in Zoom at UAM-A. And that is to show that either evolution or involution in a time, is rather the consequence of small changes, of really observing “the Others”, of mirroring ourselves in them, and arrive to the conclussion that the Classics –full of their wisdom− are still with us.
