Building upon one of the latest examples of "hybrid tribunals", the Kosovo specialist court (Kosovo Specialist Chambers e Specialist Prosecutor’s Office), this paper aims to reflect on the effectiveness of the various forms of criminal internationalized justice for the protection of fundamental values of the international community safeguarding the human person, even when such instruments are established with an undeniable delay and meet the hostility of the same community they would help to reconcile. The investigation will lead to some considerations on the role that the creation of an internationalized court could have on the restoration of peace in Ukraine.
