Resumen de Brasília: A Cidade Moderna na Cidade das Palavras
“Brasília: a cidade moderna na cidade das palavras” is a research which aims to make emerge from “city of words” the “real city”. It is considered here that the juxtaposition of historiographic discourse in consonace to the literary discourseenables the unveil of Brasília: the modernist city. In an attempt to establish a reading of the city built by the precepts of modernist architecture, it is sought, under the prism of a historiographical reading, the analisys of literary texts which have Brasília as place for literary texture. In the analisys of the literary texts it is sought the setting of a modern city which, throughoutits urbanization process, undergoes several transformations. The “text city” captures the dynamism of urban life and the various meanings attributed to the city. Thus, Brasília is now utopia, now it is solitude, now it is the megalopolis under construction. And it is from this diversity of meanings that the “city of words” produces the “physiognomy” of the “real city”.
