Resumen de La escuela del 2023 en América Latina y el Caribe: ¿Es esta la nueva normalidad?

Este artículo analiza de qué manera las escuelas de América Latina y el Caribe afrontan hoy la «nueva normalidad», después de que la pandemia causada por la covid-19 mantuviera uno de los cierre educativos más prolongado.
La autora sostiene en el texto que la pandemia ha expuesto con virulencia las desigualdades existentes en los sistemas educativos de esta región, pero también ha brindado la oportunidad de repensar y mejorar la forma en que se ofrece el servicio educativo para garantizar que todos los estudiantes tengan las mismas oportunidades de aprendizaje. Asimismo, afirma que la escuela tiene que ser el lugar que permita proyectar a estas nuevas generaciones hacia un futuro mejor.

This article analyzes how schools in Latin America and the Caribbean are facing the «new normal» today, after the pandemic caused by covid-19 maintained one of the longest educational closures.
The author maintains in the text that the pandemic has virulently exposed the existing inequalities in the educational systems of this region, but it has also provided the opportunity to rethink and improve the way in which the educational service is offered to guarantee that all students have the same learning opportunities. Likewise, he affirms that the school has to be the place that allows these new generations to project towards a better future.
