Resumen de Federación, división y obtención de datos de modelos IFC con herramientas de bajo coste y alta disponibilidad

  Una de las mayores resistencias para la integración del formato IFC dentro de los flujos BIM colaborativos es la ausencia de herramientas de alta disponibilidad. Más allá de la existencia de herramientas con gran capacidad operativa, la necesidad de llevar la gestión del trabajo diario a todos los actores involucrados requiere de herramientas que permitan la interacción con modelos IFC de forma asequible para todos ellos, sin importar su capacidad técnica.

  Frente a la necesidad de alta disponibilidad las plataformas web se configuran como las de mayor capacidad de penetración, por la variedad de dispositivos sobre las que pueden ser operadas, así como por la inmediatez con la que pueden ser utilizadas.

  Hemos detectado como clave de la adopción del formato la facilidad de acceso a los modelos, así como a la información que contienen, en un entorno reconocible por el usuario. La necesidad inmediata de visualización de la información se articula a través de un navegador web estándar desde cualquier tipo de dispositivo.

  Ya que la visualización puede resultar insuficiente, hemos planteado herramientas básicas de federación y división de modelos que permita a actores sin un elevado conocimiento del estándar IFC sacar partido del mismo con agilidad.

  One of the greatest resistances to the adoption of the IFC format within collaborative BIM workflows is the unavailability of high-tech easy-to-use tools. Beyond the existence of softwares with great capabilities, the need to bring the daily work management to all the actors involved requires tools that allow interaction with IFC models in a way that is accessible to all of them, regardless of their technical capacity.

  If high availability is a factor, web platforms emerge as those with the greatest capacity for penetration, due to the variety of devices on which they can be operated, as well as the immediacy with which they can be used.

  We have identified as key to the adoption of the format the ease of access to the models and the information they contain, in a user-recognisable environment. The immediate need for visualization of the information is articulated through a standard web browser from any type of device.

  Since visualization may be insufficient, we have introduced basic model federation and splitting tools that allow users without a high level of knowledge of the IFC standard to take full advantage of it.
