  • Resumen
    • In this paper, starting from to contribute to the history of cities, in our approach we seek to analyze some modes of sociability of women of the Roman urbs. Differents behavior and feminine attitudes were interesting arguments to think about the genres. The research proposes the reflection that the way of life of the city is propitious to think the domesticity not as a fixed concept, much used in the last years, which establishes a dichotomy between public and private indicating that the feminine world is unique and exclusively the houseand the various peculiarities of the domestic environment. Here the domesticity is understood beyond the private domestic space because the female reputation should be beyond the privacy of the home. The study of urban life also allows us to verify, through different social relations, how much the city’s spaces are plural, often without distinction of gender marked by the fluid boundaries between the domestic and public spheres.
