    El1 presente escrito destaca la relevancia de la investigación académica como eje cardinal en el desarrollo de las universidades, sobre la base de que a partir de ella se genera el discernimiento y la construcción de conocimiento crítico. Metodológicamente es una investigación etnográfica del género de las biografías académicas, para lo cual se toma como instrumento una entrevista realizada al doctor José Pascual Mora García. Se referencia la internacionalización del currículum con el Grupo de Investigación de Historia de la Educación y Representaciones (HEDURE) y la Revista Heurística (ULA, Venezuela), así como su vinculación con el Grupo Hisula UPTC, Suma Paz UdeC, el Centro Internacional Vendimia, y la red Shela, de la cual fue presidente (2011-2016). Se concluye, la pertinencia que desde cada espacio de educación superior se promueva el fortalecimiento de la investigación, la resiliencia como elemento fundamental para persistir en el camino de concienciar e internalizar la importancia hacer investigación, así como la movilidad profesoral y de candidatos a doctora tanto de Rudecolombia como del Doctorado en Historia UPTC. Los académicos deben transitar el camino de la curiosidad, el trabajo en equipo, la disciplina, el orden, y la honestidad; todo esto, a los fines de poder contar con una producción intelectual tangible, que sea reconocida tanto en el ámbito nacional como internacional.

    This paper highlights the relevance of academic research as a cardinal axis in the development of universities, on the basis that from it the discernment and construction of critical knowledge is generated. Methodologically, it is an ethnographic investigation of the genre of academic biography, for which an interview with Dr. José Pascual Mora García is taken as an instrument. Reference is made to the internationalization of the curriculum with the History of Education and Representations Research Group (HEDURE) and the Heuristic Magazine (ULA, Venezuela), as well as its link with the Hisula UPTC Group, SumaPaz UdeC, the Vendimia International Center, and the Shela network, of which he was president (2011-2016). It is concluded that it is pertinent that each higher education space promotes the strengthening of research, resilience as a fundamental element to persist on the path of raising awareness and internalizing the importance of doing research, as well as the mobility of professors and doctoral candidates both from Rudecolombia as well as from the UPTC Doctorate in History. Academics must walk the path of curiosity, teamwork, discipline, order, and honesty; all this, in order to be able to have a tangible intellectual production, which is recognized both nationally and internationally.
