  • Resumen
    • This essay intends to discuss the problems involved with the specific phonetic system, from the North to the South of the Hispanic Peninsula, in the “Iberic Alphabet”.

First, by comparing the phonetic system in various Iberic written signarious and in celtic languages, this study will show that the Iberic written system correspond fairly well, in some major aspects, to Celtic phonetics.

Secondly, in comparing the phonetic system evidenced by Iberic signarious with the evolution of the sound pattern of Castillan, we shall remark that some evolving trends of the latter can be accounted for by a Celtic linguistic substratum.
