Tras las huellas del barrio.: La doble categoría, la doble dimensión.

    El barrio ha sido el elemento recurrente de toda ciudad. A pesar de ello, no existe un acuerdo para definirlo, tratarlo o delimitarlo. A partir de los chicaguenses es que se le empezaría a observar como objeto de estudio, sobresaliendo, desde entonces, dos dimensiones que, por otro lado, serían complementarias: lo social y lo construido. Desde la hermenéutica, y con herramientas historiográficas, en este trabajo se discurre en ello, partiendo de la premisa de que barrio es una manera de referirse a una unidad natural donde convergen ambas dimensiones; siendo la segunda, de acuerdo con la teoría de las persistencias y permanencias, la más adecuada en este ejercicio de identificación. Tomando como objeto de estudio al virreinal barrio de La Luz, en Puebla, se advierte que barrio, como sistema de convivencia, es una realidad dinámica y cambiante y que, mediante el emplazamiento natural y las edificaciones, distintivamente los religiosos y los espacios abiertos, es que se auspicia no sólo su forma urbana y toponimia, sino sus oficios y cotidianidad, en este caso, la relacionada con la alfarería.

    The barrio has been the recurring element from the city. However, there is no agreement to definite, treat or delimit it.  From the Chicago School is that it would begin to be observed as an object of study, standing out, since then, on two dimensions that on the other hand, would be complementary: the social and the build. From hermeneutics, and with historiographic tools, this work reflects on it, starting from the premise that the barrio it is a way to refer to a natural unit where both dimensions converge; being the second one, in accordance with the persistence and permanence theory, the most appropriate in this identification exercise. Taking as an object of study the vicegeral barrio of La Luz, in Puebla, it is recognized that barrio, as a system of coexistence, it is a dynamic and changing reality and that, through natural location and buildings, distinctively religious and open spaces, is that not only its urban form and toponymy are protected, but also their trades and daily life, in this case the one related to pottery.
