    El interés por el paisaje, cuyo origen se remonta a la estética de las culturas orientales, no es sólo una característica definitoria de la estética del clasicismo, romanticismo e idealismo, tanto en Europa como en América, sino también un poderoso recurso que, con la necesaria mediación de la arquitectura, el urbanismo, el paisajismo y el arte de la jardinería, constituye una decisiva motivación del turismo cultural de nuestro tiempo de comienzos del siglo XXI. El artículo estudia cómo deben combinarse creativamente estos elementos de la cultura artística en la perspectiva de un intento de repensar los fundamentos racionales de la arquitectura como arte.

    The interest in landscape, whose origingoes back to the aesthetics of oriental cultures,is not only a defining characteristicof the aesthetics of classicism, romanticismand idealism, both in Europe and America,but also a powerful resource that, with thenecessary mediation of architecture, urbanplanning, landscape architecture and the artof gardening, constitutes a decisive motivationfor cultural tourism in our time atthe beginning of the 21st century. The articlestudies how these elements of artisticculture should be creatively combined inthe perspective of an attempt to rethink therational foundations of architecture as art.
