    La investigación tuvo como objetivo identificar el liderazgo en micro y pequeñas empresas del sector comercio en los municipios del sur Estado de México 2021, la muestra fue de 339 al azar. La investigación es de carácter descriptivo-transversal y se realizó una regresión logística binaria en SPSS 23. Las variables demográficas de mayor significancia son nivel de estudios, antigüedad en la organización, referente a los bloques del instrumento son difundir los objetivos, trabajo en equipo, incentivos e influencia en seguidores. El líder no corre riesgos, existe incertidumbre en el mercado generado por la pandemia del COVID-19. Existe un área de oportunidad para innovar y cumplir los objetivos formando organizaciones sólidas que contribuyan a la economía local y generación de empleos.

    The objective of the research was to identify the leadership in micro and small companies in the commerce sector in the southern municipalities of the State of Mexico 2021, the sample was 339 at random. The research is descriptive-cross-sectional in nature and a binary logistic regression was performed in SPSS 23. The demographic variables of greatest significance are educational level, seniority in the organization, referring to the blocks of the instrument are disseminating the objectives, teamwork, incentives and influence on followers. The leader does not take risks, there is uncertainty in the market generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. There is an area of ​​opportunity to innovate and meet the objectives by forming solid organizations that contribute to the local economy and job creation.
