Resumen de O manual escolar e o ensino da gramática: algumas considerações e conclusões a partir de um “caso”

  Currently, the school handbook is the educational tool most commonly used by teachers and students. In the Portuguese educational context, it enjoys a privileged status, enshrined in the legal provisions themselves. The central importance of this pedagogical tool is also undeniable with regard to the teaching and learning of the Portuguese language. Given the strong presence of theSchool Handbook in the teaching-learning processes of the Portuguese/Portuguese subject, our main objective is to verify, through a “case study”, whether the HandbookHandbook plays a crucial role in the (con)formation of ideas, practices and representations about the language, about the teaching-learning process of this language, about the role of the different actors in this process, about the validity of certain contents and/or methods, etc., as they explicitly and/or implicitly convey the ideas and representations of the authors and editors about these aspects.

  Atualmente, o manual escolar é o recurso educativo mais utilizado por professores e alunos. No contexto educativo português, ele goza de um estatuto privilegiado, consignado nos próprios normativos legais. A centralidade deste recurso educativo verifica-se igualmente no que respeita ao ensino-aprendizagem do Português. Assim, dada a forte presença do manual escolar nos processos de ensino-aprendizagem da disciplina de Língua Portuguesa/Português, é nosso objetivo nuclear verificar, a partir do estudo de um “caso”, se o manual desempenha um papel determinante na (con)formação de conceções, práticas e representações sobre a língua, sobre o processo de ensino-aprendizagem dessa língua, sobre o papel dos diversos intervenientes nesse processo, a validade de determinados conteúdos e/ ou metodologias, etc., uma vez que ele veicula, de forma explícita e/ou implícita, conceções e representações de autores e editores sobre esses aspetos.
