    Fundamento Estudiar diferencias en el perfil temporal de los reactantes de fase aguda (RFA) entre infartos cerebrales (IC) y hemorragias intracerebrales (HIC).

    Pacientes Y Método Se estudian los RFA (< 24 h y 3-5 días) en 88 pacientes consecutivos (43 HC y 45 IC). Valoramos los incrementos de RFA entre ambas determinaciones.

    Resultados El incremento de leucocitos y el incremento de fibrinógeno es significativamente mayor en HIC que en IC (p =0,047 y p = 0,035) Conclusiones El perfil temporal de los RFA es diferente en el ictus isquémico y hemorrágico

    Background To evaluate differences in the temporal profile of acute phase response (APR) between ischemic stroke (IS) and intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH).

    Patients and Method We studied APR parameters (< 24 h and 3-5 day) in 88 consecutive patients (43 ICH and 45 IS). The increase/ decrease of the parameters between both dates was analyzed.

    Results Leukocyte increase (LI) and fibrinogen increase (FI) is significantly higher in ICH than in IS (p = 0.047 and p = 0.035).
