    En este trabajo nos ocupamos de la obra de un autor español que gozó de gran éxito editorial en la Europa de su tiempo, Pedro Mexía. Sus Diálogos o Coloquios (1547), junto con su Silva de varia lección (1540), se convirtieron en obras bien conocidas en la época. Así lo demuestran las numerosas reimpresiones de estos Diálogos realizadas a lo largo de los siglos XVI y XVII, igual que las traducciones, también a menudo reimpresas, que se hicieron al inglés, al flamenco, al italiano y al francés. El objetivo de este estudio es determinar cómo se reflejan en el texto meta los movimientos de interferencia positiva y negativa que conducen a soluciones de convergencia y divergencia en las traducciones, para poder medir el verdadero grado de literalidad y reformulación en cada intérprete. Antes de analizar los ejemplos concretos, se propone una tipología de fenómenos para explicar las diferentes posibilidades de interferencia en los textos meta.

    The work of a Spanish author who enjoyed great editorial success in the Europe of his time, Pedro Mexía, is analysed in this paper. His Dialogues or Colloquia (1547), together with his Silva de varia lección (1540), became a bestseller at the time. This is proved by the numerous reprints of these Dialogues made throughout the 16th and 17th centuries as well as the translations, also often reprinted, which appeared in English, Flemish, Italian and French. The aim of this study is to determine how the movements of positive and negative interference leading to solutions of convergence and divergence in the translations are reflected in the target text, with the purpose of measuring the true scope of literality and reformulation in each translator. Prior to the analysis of concrete examples, a typology of phenomena is proposed to explain the different possibilities of interference in the target texts.
