Las mujeres artistas siempre han tenido un especial interés en la participación colectiva de la sociedad y la ecología, donde el espectador pueda tomar consciencia de las limitaciones de nuestro actual modelo social que ha perdido su relación con lo mistérico y con la naturaleza. Desde el siglo pasado hasta la actualidad las artistas han reconocido a la Tierra como un organismo vivo reactivado sus vínculos con la Diosa Madre a través del rito y lo sagrado, esto se habría traducido a través de sus creaciones en símbolos que encarnarían las fuerzas y energías que reproducen la acción universal que se oculta en la naturaleza. En este artículo, veremos el significado simbólico de sus obras donde encontraríamos imágenes y asociaciones arquetípicas análogas a mitos y ritos primitivos, constituyendo representaciones de totalidad donde la naturaleza y el principio femenino se nos presentan en toda su plenitud y poder.

Women artists have always had a special interest in the collective participation of society and ecology, where the viewer can become aware of the limitations of our current social model that has lost its relationship with the mysterious and with nature. From the last century to the present, artists have recognized the Earth as a living organism, reactivating its links with the Mother Goddess through ritual and sacredness; this would have been translated through their creations into symbols that would embody the forces and energies that reproduce the universal action that is hidden in nature. In this article, we will see the symbolic meaning of their works where we would find archetypal images and associations analogous to myths and primitive rites, constituting representations of totality where nature and the feminine principle are presented to us in all their fullness and power.
