Resumen de Karrera amaierako proiektuak euskaraz: proiektuak hizkuntza zahar berriaz

  Duela 25 urte, Bilboko Ingeniaritza Goi Eskolan, karrera amaierako proiektuak (KAP), eta ikasketa guztiak, gaztelaniaz baino ez ziren egiten. Harrezkero, euskaraz ere egiten dira. Ingeniaritzako proiektuak tradizio tekniko gabeko hizkuntzaz egitea erronka itzela da, eta bideberritze bat proiektugintzan. Komunikazio honetan egindako bidea azaltzen da labur-labur, istorio luzeagoa izan arren; eta gaur egun dauden zailtasunak eta premiak zirriborratzen dira.

  Orain arte 160 KAP egin dira, azken urte bietan egindakoen kopuruak gorantz egin ez duen arren. Proiektuok industria zein telekomunikazio ingeniaritzan egin dira, eta oraintsuko titulazio berrietan ere hasi dira egiten. Zailtasunak handiagoak dira, beste hizkuntza teknikoki garatuago bateko proiektugintzarekin alderatuz gero, baina gainditu ahal dira 160 kasu horietan gainditu egin direnez.

  Konklusio gisa, eta zailtasunak arintzeko eta proiektuok sustatzeko, egin behar diren ekimen garrantzitsu bi adierazten dira: bata, Eskolan berton egin beharrekoa; eta bestea, enpresek euren gain hartu beharrekoa. Bigarrena da zailena eta nekezena, baina ahalezkoa epe ertainean, istorio honetan ia ezinezko ziren beste gauza asko ahalezko bihurtu diren bezalaxe.

  Twenty years ago, in the Engineering School of Bilbao, all the Honours Projects, and all the teaching were performed in Spanish. Since then, those projects are also produced in the Basque language. It is a new experience and a great challenge to write projects in an old language with no technical tradition, and at the same time an innovation, at least for the speakers of that language. In this paper the trodden path is described, very briefly, although the story is a lot longer; also, the difficulties and necessities in the path ahead are pointed out.

  Up to date 160 Honours Projects have been produced, although the yearly number has not increased in the last two years. Basque language projects have been done in all of the engineering studies taught at the Bilbao School. It is more difficult to write a project in Basque than in another language of longer technical tradition, but difficulties can be overcome, as they have been so in those 160 cases.

  To conclude, two actions are mentioned in order to promote those projects: one, to be carried out at the School, and the other one, to be performed by the industrial enterprises of the Basque Land. The second action is more difficult than the first one, but both will have to be undertaken.
