Luciano Sánchez Santarén y Antonio Maffei. Maffei y Sánchez Santarén. Dos pintores vallisoletanos de generaciones diferentes y con vidas diametralmente opuestas que tienen en común el hecho de ser dos pintores que, dedicaron su vida profesional a la enseñanza y tuvieron que relegar la práctica pictórica a su tiempo libre. No por ello su maestría en dicho arte fue menor. Su obra es bastante desconocida debido a la dispersión de la misma y a que la mayor parte se encuentra en manos privadas. En el presente texto damos a conocer una serie de pinturas inéditas de ambos artistas, que a buen seguro debieron conocerse.

Luciano Sanchez Santarén and Antonio Maffei. Maffei and Sanchez Santarén. Two Vallisoletan painters of different generations and diametrically opposed lives who have in common the fact that they are two painters who dedicated their professional lives to teaching and had to relegate the pictorial practice to their free time. That is not why his mastery of this art was less. His work is rather unknown due to the dispersion of it and the fact that most of it is in private hands. In this text we present a series of unpublished paintings by both artists, which surely should have been known.
